Kate Usher

Skylist

My career in hairdressing spans over 30 years with my apprenticeship starting straight after I finished school.

I always enjoyed making people feel good about themselves and hairdressing seemed like a great opportunity to do this.  My skills and attributes which made me the person I am today go back to training all those years ago at Stefan during my apprenticeship.  They provided an amazing base for my career teaching me professionalism, work ethic and technique.

A majority of my client base has been with me for over 20 years and this is because I pride myself in my cutting and styling abilities and love doing great hair colour, it can just transform a person!. Loves attention to detail . Queen of bouncy Blowdry.

Over the years, I have had many exciting experiences going all the way back to Expo 88 and running hair shows.   I have managed various successful chain hairdressing salons overseeing large teams of professionals.  All of this culminates into me being able to provide my clients with the best recommendations for their continued hair journey.

In the personal time I do have, I spend this with my son Darcy who has started high school in 2021.  He is the apple of my eye and we love playing tennis and just hanging out and being together. I also enjoy a few Chardonnay’s with my nearest and dearest friends and family.
